Prayer can be an abstract idea for some of us. When, where, what, and how do we pray? Cultures and religions throughout time and space have turned to tangible objects to help them answer these questions. In this fully-scripted eight-week worship series by Dr. Marcia McFee, we will explore the ancient, cross-traditional, and intergenerational use of prayer beads as a way to connect with the Holy and with each other for “all our days.”

Across time, geography, and traditions, daily prayer has been aided by the use of prayer beads. This has become popular for Protestants as well in recent years. Your church (all ages) will delight in creating and using prayer beads as a way to center attention, feel the presence of God as close as the beads in our hands, and to pray easily repeated prayers of presence, praise, purpose, petition, pardon, protection, and persistence.
